What You Will Learn in this Online Early Childhood Teacher Program

Develop the core skills and key values you need to inspire young students in a classroom setting. Through a combination of theoretical studies and practical approaches, you’ll study the following areas related to your career:

  • Lesson planning
  • Curriculum literacy
  • Digital literacy
  • Reflective practice
  • Cultural responsiveness
  • Assessment

Thanks to the program’s practical approach, students can explore ways to promote early literacy and meet the needs of young children in real-world contexts. The program covers a broad range of educational theories and places special emphasis on culturally responsive teaching, digital literacy, and anti-racist practices. Students can tailor the program to fit their specific passions and career goals by selecting two elective courses, many of which are taught by licensed practitioners working in educational settings.

Inclusion is another key feature of the Master of Education, Early Childhood Teacher program. The practical and theoretical features of the program help identify ways to foster a more inclusive classroom, whether working in an elementary school, early childhood education center, or classroom for students with special needs.
