Michelle Cully Announced as 2017 New England College of Business Commencement Speaker

Michelle Cully - 2017 NECB Commencement Speaker

We are pleased to announce that entrepreneur Michelle Cully will be our 2017 commencement speaker. Cully is the founder, president and owner of Xpressman Trucking & Courier, a same-day delivery service.

Cully began building her company at age 23. At the time, she was the only female in the state of Massachusetts to own a trucking company. Today, she is one of only three Massachusetts women in that role.

Cully decided to open Xpressman despite having no college degree or business plan. She relied on her grit and her ambition to find customers and grow the company, never foreseeing the extent of her success.

Due to Cully’s hard work, Xpressman expanded from a home-based operation to one that spans across New England and beyond. In addition to same-day delivery service, Xpressman offers warehousing and distribution, white glove delivery, scheduled delivery and a variety of B2B services.

Xpressman is based out of Randolph, Massachusetts, in a 33,000-square-foot building Cully purchased in 2016.

“Michelle Cully is a shining example of what you can accomplish with determination, hard work and grit,” said NECB President Howard Horton. “We are thrilled to have her speak at our commencement ceremony, and think she will inspire our graduates to achieve great things.”

Commencement will be held on May 20, 2017. The ceremony will begin at 2 p.m., followed by a reception to honor the graduates of our online business degree programs.
