5 Students Who Earned an Online Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with NECB

At New England College of Business, our online degree programs are designed for non-traditional students and professionals who want to take their careers to the next level. We're proud of our students for taking that next step by earning a degree, and celebrate their successes as they advance in their careers.

Students from our online bachelor of science in business administration program are no exception. The online bachelor's degree in business administration program from New England College of Business prepares students for a variety of careers in business with a focus on critical thinking and communication strategies.

Check out the stories of five graduates who earned their degrees despite obstacles and busy schedules, and who continue to excel in their careers.

Rebecca Tavares

Rebecca started working as a bank teller in her senior year of high school in 2003. After five years at the bank, she was already an assistant branch manager, but her lack of a bachelor's degree prevented her from advancing further. She graduated with her bachelor's degree in business administration from New England College of Business in 2015 and is now working as a branch manager for Rockland Trust. You can read more about Rebecca's story and her plans for the future in our eBook, “How to Advance Your Career in Business”.

Shelly Sequin

As a full-time mom and employee at Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank, Shelly worried that her around-the-clock schedule would keep her from expanding her education and advancing in her career. Thanks to the New England College of Business corporate partner program, she was able to pursue her bachelor's degree in business administration online and graduated in 2015. Shelly says she gained a new perspective in her career as well as a better understanding of how her work impacts the company as a whole.

Amanda Gleason

Amanda stayed positive during personal issues, and showed her dedication to her education by studying at night, on weekends or even in the waiting room at the doctor's office. A 2011 graduate of New England College of Business, she now works at Harsco Corporation as a Global Compliance Analyst.

Edson Fernandez

Edson embraced his education while managing a full-time job that required frequent periods of travel. He studied after work or even in hotel lobbies before flights. He worked with his family, which included a newborn, to figure out a plan that best worked for all of them to succeed. Edson graduated in 2011 and now works as a Territory Sales Executive at Western Union.

Marcia Matthews

At the start of her time with New England College of Business, Marcia was 51 years old and working 75 hours a week at multiple jobs in addition to running a travel agency. She graduated in 2012 and is still plenty busy; she is the founder of Grammas House, a non-profit organization that assists families in caring for loved ones undergoing medical treatment.
