5 best places to study in Boston
Boston is an amazing city bursting with rich history and gorgeous scenery. It's no wonder about 150,000 students choose to pursue their college degree here. With all the hustle and bustle associated with a large city like Boston, it can be quite challenging to find a nice place to relax and focus. But there are some spots that are perfect for knocking out some schoolwork.
1.) Charles River Esplanade. This beautiful area separates Boston from Cambridge and is located along the Charles River. You will be surrounded by views of rowers making their way on the water, joggers hustling on trails, and children swinging on the playgrounds. The Esplanade is full of benches and grassy areas, making it a great place to take your materials and dive in. Locals rave about this city gem and say that it's a “must-see” when in the area.
2.) Boston Public Garden & Boston Common. Filled with exotic flowers, fountains, and monuments, this serene atmosphere is perfect to get work done. Need a study break? Walk around the various pathways and take in the intricate floral arrangements or take a ride in a famous swan boat on the lagoon. Whichever activity you choose, you'll be sure to make the grade and have a little fun. Located downtown, the Boston Common is the oldest park in the country. The park spans almost 50 acres and is located at the beginning of The Freedom Trail. With rich history and calm surroundings, the Boston Common is a great choice for enjoying the weather and catching up on some reading.
3.) Christopher Columbus Park. Within walking distance from the Boston Aquarium, this park is home to arguably one of the best views of the Boston Harbor. Feeling hungry? Christopher Columbus Park is near several great restaurants and Quincy Market. Not to mention, it offers free Wi-Fi, perfect for an online college student.
4.) Boston Harbor Islands National Park. Looking for a place where you can really get away and focus? Take a ferry to one of eight islands in the park that are accessible to the public. With each island offering its own unique surroundings, you'll have a tough time choosing. Each one has breathtaking views of the city of Boston and the harbor. Ferries run seasonally, so this is the perfect place to get work done from May to October.
5.) Copley Square. Head towards the Copley Square Fountain where you can enjoy a spectacular view of the Old South Church Tower in the distance while working on your studies. Check out the various structures within the square including the Boston Public Library and Trinity Church when looking for inspiration.
