Staff - Marketing Communications Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Managing all aspects of NECB's social media strategy across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter
  • Reporting monthly social media results - tracking results across key KPIs to continue growing the brand online and identify areas to engage with key audiences
  • Creating a monthly social media and editorial calendar to ensure consistent, high-quality content
  • Responsible for creating website copy, blog posts, press releases, social media, email campaigns and digital advertising
  • Identify public relations opportunities to promote and engage with consumer and trade press
  • Ensure alignment with the brand strategy by working closely with academic leadership to continually monitor and improve the overall messaging with the goal of improving student satisfaction, persistence and success
  • Assist in the development of NECB's marketing strategy and its tactical implementation, while working closely with other operating units and senior leadership
  • Closely monitor the rapidly evolving higher education market; including market size, market trends, competition, and recommend changes, as appropriate, to the College's marketing and communications strategies
  • Responsible for managing the marketing budget, invoices, and external contractor relationships
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Exceptional copyrighting and verbal communication skills
  • Strong marketing and advertising experience building brands through a variety of marketing tools with a strong understanding of email, social and digital marketing
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and driving initiatives to completion by working through a variety of constituencies
  • Demonstrated knowledge of strategic planning, market research and competitive analysis
  • Familiar with Google AdWords and Analytics
  • High level of initiative and comfortable meeting deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
  • Results-oriented and accountable
  • Self-motivated and maintains a positive, can-do attitude
  • Experience with direct marketing processes is highly preferable
  • Thorough knowledge of business software such as Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint and Adobe Creative Cloud

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in marketing, advertising or communications
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in a marketing advertising
  • Higher education experience preferred, but not required
