Earn college credit for what you already know.
The knowledge you have gained outside the classroom is extremely valuable. At New England College of Business, we have a process for turning this professional prior learning into academic credit. You can save time and money working toward your degree and discover the importance of your life and job experience while doing so — even if you are not currently enrolled at New England College of Business.
There are many types of learning that can be evaluated, such as:
- Work experience and job skills
- Employer training programs
- Military service
- Independent study
- Volunteer or community service
- Open source courseware study
- Other training or skills
New England College of Business is one of the nation's leaders in prior learning assessment, as evidenced by the fact that it has one of the highest participation rates of any institution in the nation in the LearningCounts program, provided by the Council for Adult and Experiential Learning (CAEL).
How it works
New England College of Business partners with the Council for Adult and Experiential Learning (CAEL) to provide you with the guidance and structure needed to prepare Learning Portfolios that reflect the knowledge and expertise you have gained outside the classroom. CAEL will assess your completed Portfolio and make recommendations for the college credits you should receive. The credits you earn may be directly applied to your degree.
