Vice Chair, Council of Connecticut Academic Library Directors

CCALD is a statewide consortium of academic library directors, working together to improve services and access to resources through cooperation.

I am also active in our college system’s Open Educational Resources initiative.

Professional Experience

Director of Library Services, Quinebaug Valley Community College, 2016-present

  • Manage a full range of learning resources at the library of a two-year Community College, serving a diverse community of students, faculty and the surrounding community. Supervise a variety of information services including: reference; distance education; cataloging; circulation management including inter-library loans; collection development; acquisitions; instruction of students, faculty and public in the use of physical and digital library resources.

Teen Services Coordinator, Cumberland Public Library, 2013-2016

  • Responsible for young adult collection development, including on-line services and other new technologies. Initiate, plan, publicize, and conduct a variety of programs and activities to encourage the use of the library by young adults between the ages of 11 and 18, including but not limited to films and special events, reading and writing clubs, and school and community outreach.
