NECB provides "the absolute best in personalized student care."
I have been quite impressed with the high level of service I have received from each of the staff at New England College of Business & Finance (NECB). All have reached out to me on a very professional, yet personal level, giving me the feeling that my success in this program truly matters. I cannot begin to say enough about how different this is in contrast with previous schools I have attended. I would certainly recommend NECB to anyone that seeks the absolute best in personalized student care.

NECB "has given me confidence."
"I was terrified at the beginning of the course and was quite humbled to realize how much information I had forgotten.
Working with ALEKS has helped me develop an appreciation for math. ALEKS was my 'personal tutor' who gave encouragement when
needed and praise when deserved. I may never be a math major (reading and science are my favorites), but the knowledge I
have learned has given me confidence and a true appreciation of time management!"

"NECB taught me leadership skills."
"I have experienced a few mergers. With the last merger between Fleet and Bank of America, I took a role as a Process Design Consultant. I would not have had the required skills for the position without my education. The Process Design position was a great stepping stone into my new role. I use the communication and leadership skills that I acquired through NECB everyday."
Lisa Anderson, June 2008 Graduation Speaker
Senior Vice President
"NECB provides an ideal learning environment."
"Achieving my Associate's Degree and soon my Bachelor's through NECB has been a wonderful experience. I attempted to take classes on ground with another institution and just found it inconvenient and unfulfilling. Working with the staff, instructors and Professors at NECB has proven to be a pleasure at every turn. Everyone is dedicated to helping you succeed and goes out of their way to make your experience rewarding and enjoyable. I look forward to finishing my Bachelor's and moving right on to my Master's degree and I wouldn't think of attending another college to do it!"

"NECB classes helped me with my day-to-day work life."
"I never thought that I could complete an associate degree while having a full-time job and being a single parent but I am delighted to say that with the commitment of the Lecturers and the professional staff members of New England College of Business I was able to do this. I find that the classes are not only informative but that they actually helped me in my day to day work life. The classes are small and thus you feel like you know your classmates although you've never met them personally. The Lecturers are very knowledgeable and are always readily available for telephone calls and emails. I definitely would recommend NECB to anyone who is thinking of furthering their education and believe that they could use the flexibility of online classes. It is a step worth taking and I can assure you that you will never regret your decision."

"NECB was invaluable to my educational experience."
"I would recommend NECB to anyone wanting to further their education. I was a little apprehensive about taking courses online, but NECB has made it so easy for me to manage a full time job while obtaining a college degree. The staff is wonderful to work with and is always there to guide you along the way. The courses I have taken have proven to be invaluable to me in my career as a Banking Center Manager."
Darlene Clifton (ASBA)

"NECB helped me meet day-to-day challenges at work."
"I just wanted to let you know that MSF530 helped me get through a reporting challenge at work. Because you took the time to make sure we really understood the basics before moving on to the challenging material I was able to publish a division report on time."
Kenneth Bucchianeri

"NECB helped me grow as a person and in my career."
"NECB has given me the opportunity to grow as a person and in my career. I had regretted not finishing my college degree but NECB gives me the class schedule I need to work around my life and the education I receive is far beyond my expectations for online courses. These courses have improved my work rating and helped me gain promotions, and my confidence in the banking industry is improved with every class. I highly recommended NECB to any person looking for a great education in finance and business. NECB was one of the best decisions for my future I could ever make and I look forward to completing many more courses and degrees through this great school."
Megan Barnes (ASBA)

"NECB recognizes that education is an asset for life."
"I always tell my children that education is the only asset that no one can take from us. I have been working with Middlesex Savings Bank for several (10) years now. I started as a teller and worked my way up the ladder. I strongly believe that one of the reasons why I have been promoted is because I am taking courses for my professional development. NECB has been part of my professional development. They offer affordable courses with friendly staff and good quality of higher learning. If any of you are having thoughts of pursuing your education, do not hesitate. I encourage you to do it now through NECB!"
Neptali Rondina (BSBA)

"My NECB education has been invaluable."
"My NECB education has been invaluable to my growth as a person and as an employee of my bank. Each course has given me knowledge that has had a positive effect in all aspects of my life. Being involved in community organizations, the online format has been critical to my success. Without the availability of this format, it would have been far more difficult for me to juggle all of my responsibilities and successfully complete the program. I would, without hesitation, recommend NECB to all my friends and colleagues who are looking to further their education."
Peter Plecinoga, Assistant Treasurer (BSBA)
Cash Management Implementation Officer
"NECB courses are worth the time."
"I began taking online classes more steadily after a couple of years and continued on with perseverance. Finally after seven years, I can say that taking courses and achieving my Associate's Degree in Management Studies with honors has been worth every moment of my time spent. I am planning to begin my Bachelor's Degree in the fall and I am pursuing a career in Human Resource Management. I look forward to continuing my education with New England College of Business in order to further my career and educational goals."
Sarah Souza (BSBA)

"NECB online classes offer flexibility."
"I am grateful to have found NECB to continue working on my Bachelor's degree. The online classes offer flexibility that fits perfectly with my work schedule. The courses are informative and challenge students to learn and grow. I learn something new in every course that helps me in my current role as a branch manager. I would recommend NECB to anyone looking to further their career or earn a degree."
Lindsay Fecteau (BSBA)

"An NECB education opens doors."
"NECB opened many doors for me. Not only have I learned the skills to make myself successful in the workplace, but I also gained an amazing support system that will help me long after graduation. NECB gave me the flexibility I needed by offering online courses. This helped me move through my program without giving up the things that are important to me. Overall, going to college helped me in becoming a better person and NECB was there step of the way helping me to successfully earn my degree."
Mike Vernazzaro (BSBA)

"NECB was the best decision I ever made."
"Enrolling in NECB was the best decision I made when I decided to continue on with my education. Not only has it been rewarding personally, but what I have learned has given me the opportunity to grow and excel professionally. The staff at NECB is outstanding. When I had a personal issue that involved a loved one the teacher's worked with me and were so very understanding. I was so appreciative that I had their support during a very emotional time. I can't say enough about how great everyone I have come into contact with at the college is. This has been the best college experience by far."
Michelle Fasolo (ASBA)

"My name is Rik and I am an MBEC Student. Originally when the economic crisis of 2008 hit I started looking at career changes. It became apparent that ethics and compliance were a large part of what was going to be happening in the future. So, as I started researching schools I found that NECB offered a Master's in Business Ethics and Compliance program, which interested me and I decided to pursue it. Considering it is the only school that really offers this degree I think the job opportunities following are going to be significant. The Professors have been great, very supportive, very approachable. I think the fact that the classes are relatively small for an online course gives you instant access to the professors. Classmates have been great; very supportive. One of the things I really appreciate is getting to know some of the students offline."
"So since I've started, I've found that the faculty have been very helpful. Unlike the conventional universities where when you have a problem you have to stand in line for a time to see the lecturer; you don't have that here. What you have is you send email, or you go to the question and answer section, you submit your question and you get a response. You send an email and the professor will respond. I researched other schools, even though I knew about this one. I wanted to compare to see if there was another school that has similar reputation among the online schools that is in New England. So I wanted something here that could compare with the experience and reputation this school has, and I couldn't find it. But I have heard a lot of good things about this school from fellow employees."
"My name is Jennifer and I am in the Master of Science in Finance, MSF program. I have my undergraduate degree in Business Management and I have always wanted to pursue getting my masters. The time commitment and the whole being in a class room thing was kind of scary again. I have printed off applications and got so far, but never mailed them in. I got an email about New England College of Business and Finance, got some information on it, the next thing I knew I was sending in my application, sending in my deposit, and I was enrolled to start three weeks later. For the first time I actually enjoy learning, my undergrad was more of an entertainment thing. Now I actually work pretty hard for my grades and enjoy what I am learning this time around."
"My name is Guy. I am a student here at NECB. I formerly achieved my Associate's degree in Management Studies. I am continuing on shortly to finish my Bachelor's of Science in Management Studies. After that I think I will definitely continue here in a Master's program, though I have yet to decide which of those I will pursue. I currently work in law enforcement and I am looking to either move on from that career or to move up in that career with a management degree. So far it has really helped me a lot, I have really enjoyed what I have learned in this school. The instructors are just some of the best people I have ever met, very knowledgeable in their fields, and the value of that experience that I have taken away already is I feel extremely valuable. If you become a student here I think you will really enjoy the fellow students that you will meet, as well as the instructors who will leave a lasting impression."
"I went to Hood College for undergrad (it's a private girls school that recently transitioned) with a background in philosophy and law. While I was searching for jobs, because I went to secondary school in Italy, I fell into international business ethics position at Trace International. I did due diligence management. I moved to Boston for a change of scenery, and to join AmeriCorps for a year of service. While riding the T, I saw a New England College of Business and Finance advertisement that said, 'would you like to do the right thing in your job' and it was really exciting for me because I have stumbled into business ethics as a profession because of where I grew up, and I didn't know they had Master's programs for it. I had gone to the SCCE so I signed up and enrolled right away. It was very flexible scheduling so that I could do my AmeriCorps program as well as school work. I did a second year with city year. Now I help non-profits with their 990 compliance through the program teaching me the financial aspects that I didn't know."
"My name is Carrie, and I am in the Master of Business Ethics and Compliance program. I've actually completed the Master's program and I'll be working on a concentration in forensic accounting. I chose NECB because my undergrad degree is in a non-business related field. I have my Associate's in baking pastry and culinary arts; my bachelor's in food service management. My courses that I had taken to obtain those degrees were actually accepted as prerequisites for admission into the program, so I didn't have any prerequisites that I had to take to start the program. I had an injury that got me out of the hospitality industry and I just kind of fell into a banking industry job. I kind of felt that my career wasn't going anywhere so I packed up and moved to Boston. I started a job in finance here and kind of decided that after the economic crisis started and people were losing their job that I needed to explore other opportunities. The company I work for is partners with the college so it was promoted heavily when program first started. A lot of it was the cost, the fact that the prerequisites would, I was not required to take any, but a lot of it was cost. The one thing you get from the instructors, faculty, staff, classmates, everything has been a really easy. After the start of my first class I spent the week freaking out going 'oh my god, what have I gotten myself into I can't handle this,' but it's been a pleasure ever since. Like the professional personal relationships I've built, the experiences I've had, the education that I have received is on par with what others I know who are taking masters programs at different colleges. I think the education is right on par with what they are doing. And it's relevant to my current job, but also opens a huge number of opportunities for me in the future."
Luis: " My name is Luis."
Angela: "and my name is Angela"
Luis: "Uh pretty much I was looking into schools and I wanted to see how I could actually continue my masters education and one night we were out with a group of friends and my wife Angela was asked 'so you know how have you been doing, how has Luis been doing or what not?' And she said well as a matter of fact 'share with them Luis you just enrolled into your masters program.'"
Angela: "Nice informal announcement to get his foot in the door and give him a little motivation to start taking classes again."
Luis: "At that point I felt the pressure on, I felt that I had to go on and continue to complete the program. I didn't want to not only let my wife down, but at this point it was informed to our friends, so that was I guess my situation. Then pretty much few weeks later after going home and talking about it then I actually just enjoying the moment, I guess. We had another situation where we actually met with our friends again. "
Angela: "The tables have turned on me, because Luis decided to make an announcement that I decided to go back to school, so again I felt the responsibility and pressure to sign up for the Associate's program."
Luis: "Pretty much it's been a great experience for the both of us. I feel like we both have been able to kind of feed off each other's energy into actually completing the program. It's been a lot of work for the both of us, but it's been enjoyable journey and we are very proud of the accomplishment and hope we that we continue and its part of our journey at this point."
Angela: "We are very grateful because NECB has such a supportive staff and you can contact them with any questions any concerns they're always there to help you, and I think that business professionals need a support team like that because everyone's lives are busy were working full time adults, we have family time and this school really supports and active lifestyle offering the online courses."
"Well when I talk to employees and my colleagues at Rockland Trust, the thing they are most impressed with at NECB is the ability to take the online classes and not have the burden of traveling long distances to a centralized location. You know Rockland Trust has more than 90 locations and we are dispersed around all Southeastern metro West Massachusetts so when people have obligations at work they are able to go home and take these classes. It's an incredible benefit to them and a benefit to the organization, because when people improve their own skill sets they are able to contribute great ways to the organization. The quality of education is outstanding and I think it surpasses all expectations of the colleagues at Rockland Trust, and the applicability is incredible because the specialization that NECB offers with the new Masters in Business Ethics and Compliance and Masters in Finance. People are able to get back to work and apply the skills right away."
"My name is Roberta and I started with NECB because my employer, Rockland Trust Company, had an educational partnership. I have found the program, the classes such as my financial literacy and speech communication and strategic management have contributed both to my personal development and professional development. The professors have been just amazing. They really want you to succeed and they are so helpful and very responsive to all of your questions and the guidance that you need. The knowledge and skills have been immediately applicable to my job at Rockland Trust, and I appreciate the professors helping that. The online format also allowed me to have a nice balance between family life, my work responsibilities, and being able to continue my education. It truly has been a win-win for me and for my employer. My career has taken me from teller to Assistant VP, Branch manager at Rockland Trust."
"My name is Brett and I am working towards my Bachelor's with a general studies in marketing. I have small children, and I cannot express the importance of a college degree if I do not have it myself, I found that NECB was the perfect environment for me to continue and get my education. A traditional university is not the right setting for me because I am a single parent, I have small children, and work all day, I cannot leave them at night and attend formal classes at a traditional brick and mortar university, and so this format has allowed me to still complete my degree, get my classes that I need, gain additional work experience through the knowledge I get from my classes. NECB is extremely user friendly, the format is easy to move around the professors provide a lot of beneficial information and even though it's an online program I still have access to those professors, so if I have questions I can always get them answered. I would definitely recommend NECB."
"Hello, my name is John and I am taking courses to get my bachelors in NECB. I hope to get my Bachelor's in Administration and then eventually go and get my Master's at some point in the future. I actually been thinking about it for quite a while, just never had the opportunity to take an online course before because I have always been so busy either at work or the family. When this opportunity came up I said 'well you know what, I better take advantage of it.' Gosh, I hate to tell you my age, but I am glad I am taking it now rather than waiting, but I figure that if I don't do it as I get older I am just going to be passing up opportunities that could be there for me if I had taken them sooner. I wish I would have done this sooner to be honest with you. Well at first I was a little bit skeptical, I had never taken an online courses before, but when I got into it I saw all the pre-recorded videos that are available how they provide you with an academic coach to help you with your assignments, so as I got into it I also learned that there are discussion boards with other students throughout the country and the more I get into it the more comfortable I become with it, and I do feel that it is a quality education."
"Hello, my name is Gina. I am a masters student in the Masters of Business Ethics and Compliance program at NECB. I can't wait to use what I am learning; I am doing that already. I plan to complete the program at the end of this year and am trying to decide what I want to do next as far as continuing my education. I felt connected whenever I needed to contact my professor I could do it through EPIC*, or send an email, or place a phone call. I am continuously in contact with the other students in the program, especially when we are participating in a group project. It's very simple: you see your discussion questions, you have your rubric, you see what is required of you, you know when your due dates are. The flexibility and the affordability of the program, access to professors and other students, if you need help technical help, you just need to call the help desk, send an email to the help desk. You know there hasn't been a problem that I haven't been able to get resolved quickly, and there haven't been very many problems at all. It's normally me getting used to how everything works. I don't know where else you can go and get the same value that you're getting in the NECB program."
* Epic is NECB's former learning management system. The new system, Canvas, has even better functionality to allow students to feel connected with their instructor and classmates.
"My name is Shedrick and I am working on my Master's degree in Business Ethics and Compliance at the New England College of Business. I had always been wanting to get a Master's degree ever since I had gone to college a number of years ago. One of my goals before I left college, but other things happened and I wasn't able to complete that goal initially but an opportunity came around for me to go to New England College of Business. I chose the New England College of Business because they have been around for over 100 years, so the fact that they had been in existence that long was important in choosing a school. The thing that I like most about taking the classes online is that I can pretty much go at my own pace. It allows me the flexibility to plan out my day so that I know what time I am going to be at work, when I get home what time I am going to study and this allows me to have a personal life as well. Definitely give New England College of Business a serious consideration. It is in the financial hub of our country and it offers an array of degrees other than just the Business Ethics. I had considered the Master's in Finance and they also offer a MBA program. I am really excited about the prospects. I am halfway through the program right now, looking forward to wrapping it up this year and looking for what opportunities are going to wait for me."
"My name is David Bent. I am a current student in the Master's in Business in Ethics and Compliance program. This is a program that really excited me, as it's very real in terms of what companies are dealing with today. As they focus on the different opportunities within risk and mitigating those risks, I see this as a real growth opportunity to enhance the skills that I already have, and this is the type of program that allows me to get there in a hurry. The coursework is rigorous, but it's doable. It's approached in a practical manner, and the fact that it allows for a lot of discussion between colleagues, really from across the United States, it brings a variety of different perspectives, from the banking industry to education, to healthcare, to business, so you really get a good, you know, mixture of what people are looking for, and it also allows us to explore in details that really you couldn't do if you were just doing it on your own. I mean, this is a school that's been around for a number of years, it's fully accredited, it provides me with the learning style that I'm comfortable with in the fact that it's not just all book work. It gives also the fact that the lectures are provided online, something I can watch, because I actually learn best when I listen to things. Oh, I would recommend it highly. I've found that what I've learned thus far has helped in terms of what I bring to my own workplace, number one. Number two, it seems to be a program that I'm going to be able to continue without interrupting my work as well as my social schedules."
