Sources of Aid

Federal Grants

NECB participates in the Federal Pell Grant program. Specific information regarding application and eligibility for the Federal Pell Grant program may be obtained from the NECB Financial Aid Office.

Federal Loans

NECB participates in the Federal Direct Subsidized/Unsubsidized Stafford Loan and Federal Direct PLUS Loan programs. Specific information regarding application and eligibility for the Federal Stafford Loan and the Federal Direct PLUS Loan programs may be obtained from the NECB Financial Aid Office.

The National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) is the U.S. Department of Education's (ED's) central database for student aid. NSLDS receives data from schools, guaranty agencies, the Direct Loan program, and other Department of ED programs. NSLDS Student Access provides a centralized, integrated view of Title IV loans and grants so that recipients of Title IV Aid can access and inquire about their Title IV loans and/or grant data.

Institutional Scholarships

Institutional scholarships may be available to members of the United States Military and their families and employees of NECB Corporate Partners and their families, as well as others. Please contact the NECB Financial Aid Office to find out more about institutional scholarships that may be available.

Private Scholarships

Private scholarships are awarded from various organizations, private agencies, foundations, community-based organizations, and civic groups to help worthy students meet the cost of attending college. Information regarding these sources can be obtained online, from local high school guidance offices and public libraries.
