NBC Learn Content Partners
More than 10,000 videos, documents and images are available for students. Every resource is displayed in an individual Cue Card media player. The Cue Card provides general information, description and keywords. Students will need to sign in to access the video archive. This login information will be made available to NECB students.
The content provides a vital resource for students working on their associate's, bachelor's and master's degrees. Video archives include information from the earliest to the most recent clips. Students will also have access to multiple mini-documentaries in special focus areas, as well asprimary source documents from the New York Times, Washington Post and more.
Online Learning Tools
Tools are available to help students identify and access the desired material quickly and easily. Students may check the content areas along the left side of the screen to focus searches on subject materials, including business. These are nested outlines, so the deeper the student goes, the more narrow the choices become. Students may also select advanced search, type in the specific keywords they are searching and select the filters to limit the content to exactly what is desired. For research papers and action plans, the business section of NBC Learn is a tremendous resource.
Cue Cards
The Cue Card is the unique video player for NBC Learn. Students may drag the Cue Card to where they desire on the screen. Students can fast-forward or rewind. The Cue Card controls allow maximum interaction. Clicking the flip button allows students to access bibliographic information, hyperlinked keywords (this is especially useful for finding related materials). While students are signed in, students can save the Cue Cards to a playlist to access or later.
When the Cue Card is saved, students can make their own notes on the Cue Card for research, project ideas and more. Students' notes are accessible only by the student who made them. Students may also print out the information. Students with a slower Internet may download videos for local play, access and reference.
