The Office of Admissions recommends that you apply as early as three months prior to the term in which you plan to attend New England College of Business. Undergraduate classes begin at the start of each month, and graduate programs every six weeks.

NECB uses a state-of-the-art online learning management platform that allows students to complete their coursework online. You are not required to live in Boston, MA to study and earn your degree for NECB.

undergraduate, if you wish to transfer in credits earned from another institution, official transcripts from all schools attended are required for evaluation and acceptance. For
graduate, official transcripts are required for undergraduate studies.
TOEFL scores may also be required for all applicants whose native language is not English.

Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
The TOEFL is required of all applicants whose native language is not English. The TOEFL is given worldwide. There is a fee for the examination. A 500 paper-based minimum score is required for all undergraduate programs and a 550 paper-based is required for all graduate programs. NECB also accepts a 5 on the IELTS. The following exceptions apply:
- Applicants who completed 4 years of high school in the United States or other English-speaking countries.
- Applicants who hold an undergraduate or graduate degree from an institution within the United States or other English-speaking countries.

Transcripts in any language other than English must be translated through the Center for Educational Documentation. Also, all foreign transcripts whether in English or not must be processed by the Center for Educational Documentation. No. New England College of Business and Finance does not require an SAT or ACT for undergraduate admissions. There is an exam required for all undergraduate students. If you have not previously attended NECB, you will be given English and Math exams prior to enrolling in any course. If you pass the exams with 50% or higher you will be admitted to the College and an advisor will work with you to enroll you in the appropriate level courses.

You will be admitted to the College. For English: If admitted and your score is between 50%-74%, you will be placed in ENG 099, Fundamentals of English. If you score 75% or higher, you will be placed in ENG 101, English Composition I. For Math: If admitted and your score is between 50%-74%, you will be placed in MAT 099, Fundamentals of Math. If you score 75% or higher, you will be placed in MAT 103, Business Mathematics.
For graduate programs, the GRE and GMAT are not required. You are required to submit a resume, essay, and to complete a virtual interview with an admissions advisor. You will also need to send formal transcripts from your undergraduate studies showing degree earned.

To receive financial assistance you must be fully admitted to an NECB degree program or be enrolled in a qualified certificate program. For need-based aid, complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Aid (FAFSA). We encourage students to apply online using FAFSA on the Web at the

The NECB learning management platform allows you to download assignments and complete them offline. This is a great benefit for students who do not have continuous access and allows them to complete and then upload for assessment and grading.

When you apply to NECB, you will receive email communication indicating the name of your admissions advisor. They will work closely with you through the enrollment process.

You do not need to pay for an entire semester at one time. You are able to pay course by course and can use a debit or credit card. If you are eligible for federal financial aid, you may use that or other accepted loan programs to cover payment.
