Yes, NECB accepts transfer credits from most regionally accredited institutions. Once you have officially matriculated into an NECB program, either NECB's Registrar or your Graduate Program Chair will evaluate your transfer credits. When transferring credits into NECB, we require an official transcript, sealed and forwarded to the NECB Registrar's Office. Transcripts in any language other than English must be translated through the Center for Educational Documentation (
www.cedevaluations.com), or another reputable evaluation agency. Also, all foreign transcripts whether in English or not, must also be evaluated to determine U.S. equivalency prior to admittance into NECB. Information regarding transcript evaluation may be obtained by contacting an enrollment specialist or academic advisor.
English and Math and entrance exams are required for undergraduate students. If you have not previously attended NECB, you will be given English and Math exams prior to enrolling in any course. If you pass the exams with 55% or higher you will be admitted to the College and an advisor will work with you to enroll you in the appropriate level courses.
You will be admitted to the College. For English: If admitted and your score is between 55%-74%, you will be placed in ENG 099, Fundamentals of English. If you score 75% or higher, you will be placed in ENG 101, English Composition I. For Math: If admitted and your score is between 55%-74%, you will be placed in MAT 099, Fundamentals of Math. If you score 75% or higher, you will be placed in MAT 103, Business Mathematics. If you are enrolled in a Fundamentals course(s), you are conditionally admitted and will not be eligible to matriculate into your degree program until you pass the course with a 70% or higher. In the event, you do not pass the course(s), you will be dismissed from the college and will not be charged tuition for the course(s).
Specific admission requirements can be found on the Admission Requirements page for each respective program.

NECB has chosen the APA 6 Style and formatting for all written projects because it is the most widely used style for business and finance courses. Including General Education, all courses at NECB will require the use of APA 6 as the writing style and format for written work, especially research projects and papers, to ensure that student learns to effectively use one selected style for all courses at the College.
No. The College requires a record of your assignment within the course. Submitting your assignment in the course shows documentation of completing the course requirements.

No. Once you begin you cannot stop and start or navigate out of a quiz.
Students all benefit when people work together. There will be opportunities in each degree program to work collaboratively with your colleagues. For example, you will have the ability to interact with your classmates in weekly discussions and in some courses, work together in collaborative groups on assignments. While assessments, such as exams or quizzes, must be completed independently, learning generally increases when students interact with each other.
All BSBA students are required to take the BSBA Senior Capstone Course once they have completed 109 or more credits at NECB. This course must be passed with a C or better grade in order for the student to graduate.
All new students entering a Graduate program at NECB are required to take and pass a Capstone course, instead of a Comprehensive Final Exam in order to graduate. However, students that entered the Master's in Business Ethics and Compliance (MBEC) program before November 2011, may instead be required to complete a Comprehensive Final Exam. MBEC Students should contact their Program Chair to determine if this requirement applies to them.
At New England College of Business, academic integrity is defined as the commitment to honesty, fairness, and respect. You may read the College's full Academic Honesty & Integrity Policy

Turnitin.com is a reputable resource for evaluating written work. This tool is used in many of our courses to assess any and all discussion postings, assignments, research projects, research papers, group projects, etc. for the purpose of plagiarism detection.
Undergraduate students must repeat any required course in which a grade of F, W or WF is received and will only be allowed to repeat courses in which they received a D or below.
Graduate students must repeat any required core course in which a grade of D, F, W or WF is received or any required prerequisite course in which a grade of C+ or below is received. Graduate prerequisite courses may be repeated only once.
In the case of a D or F, the better of the two grades is calculated into the CGPA. The lower grade will include a double asterisk indicating that the course has been repeated. Both original and repeated credits will be counted as attempted credits in rate of progress calculations.
To receive an incomplete (I), the student must petition, by the last week of the term or session, for an extension to complete the required course work. The student must be passing the course at the time of petition. The allotted time to make up an incomplete grade is one academic term or session, or eight weeks for undergraduate students (term) and five weeks for graduate students (session). NECB reserves the right to extend the time needed to fulfill the incomplete grade.
Undergraduate Courses:

The process is known as filing a grievance. A student who has a grievance must first see the appropriate faculty or staff member with whom the complaint lies. If a viable solution is not reached on the part of the student and faculty or staff member, the student may seek the aid of the Department Chair or the Provost. The student has ten days to file a complaint in writing with the Provost if prior recourse has not been to the student's satisfaction. A special meeting of an ad hoc student grievance committee may be called. The group will reach a consensus after the grievance has been heard. The decision rendered by the committee will be final.
If a student fails a course he or she will have to retake the course and for undergraduate courses, earn a "D" or better. For core graduate courses, the student will have to retake the course and earn a "C" or better. For graduate prerequisite courses the student will have one opportunity to retake the course and earn a "B-" or better.
You will be able to access the grading "Rubric" on both the Discussion and Assignment screens. Rubrics provide the grading criteria that will be used by the instructor to evaluate that component of the course. Your grade will consist of the same rubric filled out by your instructor with a score for each line item.
