The student must repeat any required course in which a grade of F, W or WF is received. Students will only be allowed to repeat courses in which they received a D or below.
In the case of a D or F, the better of the two grades is calculated into the CGPA. The lower grade will include a double asterisk indicating that the course has been repeated. Both original and repeated credits will be counted as attempted credits in rate of progress calculations.
To receive an incomplete (I), the student must petition, by the last week of the term, for an extension to complete the required course work. The student must be passing the course at the time of petition. The allotted time to make up an incomplete grade is one academic term, or eight weeks. NECB reserves the right to extend the time needed to fulfill the incomplete grade.
Undergraduate Courses:
A grade of "W" will be assigned when written requests are received from the 4th day of week 1 through the Weeks 2, 3 and 4. A grade of a "WF" will be assigned when written requests are received in Weeks 5 though 8.
Graduate Courses:
A grade of "W" will be assigned when written requests are received from the 4th day of week 1 through the Wednesday of Week 3. A grade of a "WF" will be assigned when written requests are received from the Thursday of Week 3 through Week 5.
An A, B, C or D is needed to receive credit for the course.
This is determined by each course professor and should be stated in the syllabus.
The lowest grade accepted for transfer credit is a C.
The process is known as filing a grievance. A student who has a grievance must first see the appropriate faculty or staff member with whom the complaint lies. If a viable solution is not reached on the part of the student and faculty or staff member, the student may seek the aid of the Department Chair or the Vice President for Academic Affairs. The student has ten days to file a complaint in writing with the Vice President for Academic Affairs if prior recourse has not been to the students satisfaction. A special meeting of an ad hoc student grievance committee may be called. The group will reach a consensus after the grievance has been heard. The decision rendered by the committee will be final.
If a student fails a course he or she will have to retake the course and earn a "D" or better.
You will see the "Rubric" button at the bottom of the Discussion and Assignment screens. Rubrics provide the grading criteria that will be used by the instructor to evaluate that component of the course.
When you click on the "Rubric" button, the grading criteria for that particular assignment will appear at the bottom of the screen in table format. Your grade will consist of the same rubric filled out by your instructor with a score for each line item.

Partner companies can set up direct invoicing with the college. NECB can send a single invoice for all of your employees' tuition each term. This flexibility allows tuition reimbursement/HR departments to cut one check for the cost of all employee tuition instead of one for every student. Because it eliminates an employee paying out-of-pocket, you are likely to find this method can be a strong incentive for taking on the challenge of additional education.

Guide to download the courseware to your computer. You also have the flexibility of accessing the course through the
online portal. Keep in mind, if you choose this method of course access,
you may experience slowness due to the video streaming and graphic elements of the course.
Most of your coursework does not require an Internet connection. The Internet is only required to:

No. To download the Epic Player, your computer must have either the Windows XP Service Pack 2 or Vista 32bit operating system. If you can not download the Player, then you can still access your courses via the online portal.
You may receive error messages in the online portal if the computer you are using to access your course does not meet the

Both of these are excellent ways to participate in the discussion. However, these buttons should be used carefully in order to keep the discussion organized and on track. The "New Thread" button should be used to post an original idea (or to present a new answer to the question originally posted).
