Our History
For fifty years, Cambridge College has been devoted to meeting the needs of busy adult learners — many of whom have been denied or limited in their ability to pursue higher education. Now, with Cambridge College Global, at your time, at your pace, and in your own place, we make it possible to achieve the degree or certificate you need to upgrade your skills, improve your credentials, and have an immediate impact on your career.
Cambridge College Global has been in continuous operation for over a century, since its founding in 1909 by the New England banking industry as the Boston chapter of American Institute of Banking. We eventually grew into the 100% online New England College of Business (NECB), evolving to become a leader in connecting higher education with the workforce development needs of hundreds of corporate partners. In 2020, NECB determined that it could better serve its students and corporate partners by becoming part of the larger Cambridge College, which is also highly committed to the adult learner — first as New England Institute of Business (NEIB) at Cambridge College, and rebranding the following year as Cambridge College Global (CCG).
Results
According to responses from CCG's 2020 Graduating Exit Survey:
- Almost half of our graduates report that they are receiving promotions, or expanded responsibilities, even before they graduate.
- More than 95% find that their course of study is improving their workplace performance.
- Virtually all CCG graduates report that, as a result of their education, they have been able to perform more effectively in their job – advancing their companies and organizations, and themselves.
